Concerns over global warming and finite fossil fuel resources have provided
an ongoing impetus behind the development of renewable energy sources. In this
presentation, David Anderson will address the topic of small-scale wind power
generation and discuss the development of a rooftop-mounted wind turbine
generator system.
David Anderson is a mechanical engineer with considerable experience as a
design engineer in various industries. After his undergraduate and
post-graduate degrees at Napier University, he completed a PhD in
thermodynamics. He subsequently spent several years managing the technical and
commercial aspects of projects in various industries, and has much experience
in project management of large-scale offshore installations. He is currently a
co-director of Renewable Devices Limited. David has also spent time as a
Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. He is a Chartered Engineer and
Member of the Institution of Engineering Designers.
