About the speakers

 

Jo aka Pirate Jo is on a mission to live more sustainably and to help individuals, groups and businesses to do it too.

As co-founder of Green PO, she believes that turning every product person into a green product person is a big part of this, and as founder of Pirate Jo she uses her knowledge and expertise as a seasoned agile coach and agent of change to help in the next, most urgent transformation of our time.

A connector of patterns and people, a challenging questioner and reframer, Jo creates spaces for people to take action in difficult circumstances, while enabling everyone to be human and love themselves a bit more for it.

Jo derives true pleasure in leading, inspiring, helping and coaching others to succeed to the best of their abilities and have fun while doing it.

  Sath has a 25+ year journey in the software and tech industry, having started as a Software Engineer in the payments industry. These days he typically sits at the intersection of software, product development, agile practices and community building. With a strategic focus, he loves to improve products, enhancing the customer experience and solving real problems. He has recently taken up the role of Chief Value Officer for Green PO, supporting this purpose-led and sustainability focused initiative on a part-time basis. Most recently he has spent 5+ years in the financial services sector driving capability building and cultural transformation across global engineering communities. He has worked for several international clients and global brands prior to this. Passionate about unlocking the potential of communities, he has a few voluntary roles in industry. His passion for learning and continuous improvement is embraced as part of his role as Organiser of The Future of Work Scotland global meetup as is his commitment to agile practices as BCS’s Chair of the Agile Methods specialist group. Sath is a Chartered Fellow of both the BCS and Chartered Management Institute (CMI). An international keynote speaker, he also recently also qualified as a Professional Kanban Trainer (PKT) with Prokanban.org.
