Synopsis
Thirty years ago, Mags was often the only women in the room when she started her career in IT. Mags will explore the gender gap challenge and what practical steps digital transformation company Sopra Steria is doing to improve its diversity and how it nurtures an inclusive culture.
About the speaker
Margaret (Mags) Moore has been in the problem-solving Tech industry for over 30 years, mainly working with the Scottish Public Sector. After success in various business development roles, Mags moved into leadership, with responsibility for strategy, growth, delivery, P&L management and nurturing Sopra Steria’s talent.
Mags is passionate about ‘joining the dots’ and making public services better for citizens and employees, which she is doing in her current role as Managing Director of CeleScan, a new joint venture between Sopra Steria, Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research, London.
Mags is passionate about our wider impact, how we can benefit communities and how we can give back, such as disabled internships through Inclusion Scotland and encouraging school children to pursue a career in IT. This has also led to her mentoring people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Mags is also the Chair of the Open Identity Exchange, a not for profit focused on the adoption of digital identity.
