The Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network (SCRAN) is a Millennium project using Multimedia and Web technology to make the treasures in Scotland's museums, galleries, libraries, archives and historic buildings more widely available for study and enjoyment. SCRAN gives access to thousands of images, sound and movie clips, virtual resource packs and more, for schools in Scotland and Web users everywhere.
In this talk, Bruce will explore issues of Resource Discovery and Digital Rights Management, and show how SCRAN fits into initiatives such as The People's Network and the National Grid for Learning.
