Voxel (3D Volume Pixel) technology is set to create a paradigm shift in the creation, programming and use of 3D computer graphics. Up to now, displaying voxels has been very computationally expensive, requiring the use of a Graphics Workstation. The resultant expense has limited the use of voxels.

Voxar has developed novel, highly efficient voxel rendering software. For the first time you can display voxels at real-time interactive speeds on entry-level Windows PCs, without needing any special hardware.

Voxar’s software 3D is so fast that, in addition to vastly improving price-performance ratios in the traditional voxel markets of Medical and Scientific Visualisation, it is set to revolutionise applications in all areas of 3D Computer Graphics (3D Design, Simulation, Virtual Reality, Games, Graphing and Charting).

The voxel paradigm is much easier to learn and use than the traditional 3D polygon approach. The talk will show how, using tools from Voxar, developers can rapidly and easily gain the benefits of fast, accurate voxel 3D in their products.
