BCS Student Prize Edinburgh Napier 2016Winner of the BCS Edinburgh Branch "Best Student" Prize at Edinburgh Napier University
Over his time at university he had the opportunity to undertake work based learning which involved working for the National Records of Scotland as a Java developer for one year. In addition to this year he attained two summer placements; one at Exterity working on IPTV products, and one at Kotikan working with Android and iOS applications. He was also employed by the university as a Student Demonstrator where he assisted students in practical programming sessions. The experience gained whilst working on his placements has provided him with the practical skills required to fulfil the role of a software engineer and he’s constantly seeking new ways to improve his knowledge of all things computer science related. |

Calum Gathergood is a recent Computing Science graduate from Edinburgh Napier University where he attained a 1st class degree. Currently he is working full time as a Software developer for Intelligent POS in Edinburgh, where he works on their web and mobile products.
